At the age of 67, Betikhai Bariha continues to represent the rich folk traditions of Western Odisha through her lifelong dedication to Dalkhai dance.

Betikhai Bariha began practising Dalkhai dance at just 12 years of age. What started at a young age eventually became a lifelong commitment to folk art and culture.
At a time when social circumstances could have made it difficult for women to continue performing after marriage, Betikhai chose to remain dedicated to her art.
