42 Units of Blood Donated in Gaisilet

On 31 August 2026, the Paschim Odisha Yuva Manch (WOYM) and Youth Club Gaisilet jointly organized a blood donation camp at Gaisilet in Bargarh district. The initiative brought together young volunteers and community members with a shared commitment to social service and helping people in need.

The camp was organized with the aim of encouraging voluntary blood donation and creating greater awareness about the importance of donating blood. Through this initiative, members of the community came forward to contribute to a cause that can make a meaningful difference in the lives of others.

42 Donors Come Forward to Donate Blood

A total of 42 people donated blood during the camp. Among the donors, 41 were men and 1 was a woman.

Each donor's contribution represented an important act of kindness. By voluntarily donating blood, the participants demonstrated that a small contribution from an individual can become a valuable resource for someone facing a medical emergency.

The enthusiastic participation of the donors also highlighted the growing spirit of social responsibility among the youth and community members of Gaisilet.

Camp Inaugurated by Gaisilet BDO

The blood donation programme was inaugurated by Gaisilet Block Development Officer (BDO) Laxman Majhi.

During the programme, he appreciated the active participation of the youth in this humanitarian initiative. He also encouraged young people to remain connected with community welfare activities and continue contributing to society through such meaningful efforts.

Gaisilet Additional Tahasildar Debashish Mishra and Block Chairman Pranaya Sahu, along with other respected guests and community members, were also present during the programme.

WOYM & Youth Club Gaisilet Join Hands

The initiative was conducted through the joint efforts of Paschim Odisha Yuva Manch (WOYM) and Youth Club Gaisilet.

The collaboration reflects the importance of community organizations and youth groups working together for social welfare. Blood donation is one of the simplest ways people can contribute to society, and programmes like this help build awareness while encouraging more people to become regular voluntary donors.

The organizers expressed their appreciation to everyone who participated and supported the camp.

A Contribution Towards Saving Lives

Blood cannot be manufactured and must come from voluntary donors. Every unit donated can potentially help patients who require blood during medical treatment, accidents, surgeries and other emergencies.

The 42 units collected during the Gaisilet camp therefore represent more than just a number. They reflect the willingness of 42 individuals to step forward and support an unknown person in need.

Such initiatives also encourage others to understand the importance of voluntary blood donation and become part of similar humanitarian activities in the future.

Special Thanks to Supporters

WOYM extended special thanks to Ranjan Kumar Panda, all WOYM members, members of Youth Club Gaisilet, and the Blood Bank Staff, Padampur, for their valuable support and unconditional efforts in making the programme successful.

The organizers also expressed gratitude to all the donors, guests and volunteers whose participation helped make the camp a meaningful community service initiative.

Continuing the Spirit of Service

The successful organization of the camp demonstrates the commitment of WOYM and Youth Club Gaisilet towards social service and community welfare.

With 42 units of blood donated, the programme became another meaningful effort towards supporting people who may require blood in times of need.

WOYM continues to believe in the spirit of collective action:
